Possible Canada Post service disruption

Please be advised that a Canada Post mail service disruption is possible as both sides continue to negotiate an agreement. We will continue to post updates as details are confirmed. Here are a few things you should know in the event of a mail service disruption.

In the event of a Canada Post Mail Service disruption:

  • Mailed account statements from FirstOntario will be delayed by the service disruption. However, Members who are enrolled in online banking can view account history and perform transactions like paying bills and transferring funds 24/7. Plus, they have access to paperless e-statements. If you haven’t already signed up for online banking, you can do so at any time. It’s simple, secure and convenient. You can also view your account history using our mobile app on your Smartphone.
  • FirstOntario’s new and replacement debit cards and Collabria Visa cards sent by mail may experience delays.
  • Visa cards statements that are sent by mail will also experience delays. During a mail disruption, you are expected to continue paying all of your bills on time so be sure not to miss your payment dates. You can do this by visiting one of our branches or through online and mobile banking.

FirstOntario’s Credit Card Program

FirstOntario is happy to offer an exciting array of Visa Credit Cards to both our personal and business Members. Members who choose to continue using their existing Mastercard issued by CUETS Financial may do so beyond January 1st, 2018.

Since we no longer offer CUETS Mastercards, we are unable to provide Member service for these products. Please contact CUETS at the number on the back of your credit card, or you can call CUETS Financial Card Services toll free at 1-800-561-7849.
