Board of Directors Election

As a Member it's YOUR right to vote.

Each year we invite all Members interested in making a personal difference at FirstOntario to run for election to our Board of Directors. Annually, our election runs from November to March.

Nomination Period: November 1 to December 13, 2018
Voting Period: January 24 to March 11, 2019

FirstOntario’s Annual General Meeting will be held at Carmen’s Banquet Centre, 1520 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton, Ontario L8W 3P9 on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Elections 2019

The nomination period for this year is now over. Candidates for our election will be announced in late January 2019.


FirstOntario is very pleased to give our Members several ways to vote for your Board of Directors starting January 24, 2019.

  • Vote online through online banking
  • Vote through our mobile smartphone apps
  • Vote in your local FirstOntario branch
  • Vote with the ballot that is mailed to your home

Your Board of Directors highly recommends voting online in this election. Simply log into online banking and follow the prompts to cast your vote. If you do not have online banking, just call us at 1-800-616-8878 to be set up.

Voting through our mobile app for your smartphone is equally as easy. Just download the FirstOntario mobile banking app to start voting.

The other alternatives are to vote in your local FirstOntario branch or simply mail in your completed ballot once you receive it at your home. We will be mailing out ballots to our Members this year, along with a postage paid return envelope.

Annual General Meeting

Election winners will be announced at our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. All FirstOntario Members are welcome.
