We currently have 32 branches with two additional satellite branches serving 14 communities within the Hamilton, Halton, Niagara, Haldimand/Norfolk, and Oxford regions. Many are open Saturdays.


FirstOntario has more than 20 of its own ATMs in our branches and other convenient public locations.  Plus, we’re also part of THE EXCHANGE® Network, a shared network of over 3,300 full-service ATMs across Canada, that allows Members to make deposits and withdrawals on a surcharge-free basis.

Personal Assisted Tellers

Our Personal Assisted Tellers allow you to speak face-to-face with a live teller through the latest video technology.  Offering extended service hours, banking with our Personal Assisted Tellers is virtually the same as going into one of our branches.

Online Banking

If you haven’t tried it yet, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to bank online.  To get started, you’ll need a FirstOntario debit card and a Personal Access Code (PAC), which you can get at your nearest branch.  Then enjoy the convenience of 24-hour access to your accounts.  You can manage your money from your home, school or business anytime of the day or night on your computer.  Check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, and view e-statements.  With private and secure access to Online Banking, you can do the majority of your day-to-day transactions quickly and cost-effectively and when it's convenient for you.

Telephone Banking

Members can use our automated telephone banking system 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to check balances, pay bills, transfer funds between accounts, and hear the last 10 transactions in your account.  Setting up a Telephone Access Code (TAC) is simple – just contact your nearest branch.  Then call us toll-free at 1-888-520-2301 to get your first telephone banking session underway.

Mobile Banking

You can check your account balances and review recent transactions 24/7/365 in real time, while you're on the go, with 1FCU Mobile Banking. It's free, although standard charges may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
