FirstOntario Credit Union believes in supporting youth and giving back to our communities in a way that makes a positive, long-lasting impact. That’s why we’ve committed to supporting student nutrition programs in all of the regions that FirstOntario operates in with a donation of $250,000 in 2015. In the last two years, FirstOntario has invested half a million dollars into the successful program.
FirstOntario Credit Union has a longstanding relationship with the Hamilton Bulldogs and will continue to support the city’s new OHL team. Our credit union supports many Bulldog initiatives including the Walk-A-Thon, the Hamilton Bulldogs Foundation and Game Days throughout the season.
FirstOntario Credit Union is proud to partner with Fergie Jenkins, the first Canadian in baseball’s Hall of Fame and a proud recipient of the Order of Canada. The Fergie Jenkins Foundation raises money for over 500 charities in North America under the mandate of “serving humanitarian need through the love of sport”.
Soupfest is an annual event that raises funds to support the health and well-being of our local youth. FirstOntario’s support for this event brings much needed reinforcement for our community’s youth-at-risk. Come out and taste some of the best soup recipes from local restaurants. Vote for your favourite soup and meet some celebrity servers!
Community Sports Programs
Playing hockey and being active in sports is a rite of passage for kids in our communities. But without corporate sponsorship, the costs are just too high. That’s why FirstOntario sponsors rep hockey and other athletic programs for participants throughout our communities.
FirstOntario Credit Union accepts sponsorship applications for review on an ongoing basis. Applications can be done online and will be addressed within 7 to 10 business days. Apply
