Your deposits at FirstOntario are automatically insured under the
Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). DICO is the Provincial
Agency providing deposit insurance protection for the Members of Ontario
Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires.
Deposits in registered savings plans are fully insured. Other
Canadian dollar deposits insured up to $100,000.*
Separate insurance protection is provided for deposits held in joint
accounts, trust accounts and business accounts.
