Package Plans

If you like to keep your life simple and you don't like to be surprised by service fees, then you should consider purchasing an Account Package Plan.

With an Account Package Plan you pay one set price per month for a set of services that are most valuable to you. (Transactions beyond those included in the package plan are paid for separately.)

Package plans can cover just your FirstOntario Chequing Account or both your FirstOntario Chequing Account and your FirstOntario Savings Account. Some of our plans include additional features such as discounts on safety deposit boxes.

FirstOntario offers three account package plans:

The Plan Most Often Purchased by Members

Our most popular Package Plan is the Unlimited Value Plan. Not only do most Members enjoy the savings provided by this very competitively priced product, but they also enjoy the convenience of not having to count transactions.

Picking the Package Plan For You

If you are not certain which plan offers you the best value, it's a good idea to review your account activity for the past month or two.

On your own, or with the assistance of a FirstOntario Member Consultant, count the number of debit transactions (withdrawals at the ATM or branch, cheques, Point of Sale/debit card transactions, etc.) that you make in an average month. Also check the number of bill payments you make at the branch.

Be sure to look at your most active FirstOntario Chequing Account and your most active FirstOntario Savings Account. Then, check out the chart below.

Your Best Value is likely Basic Value if...	You primarily use your FirstOntario Chequing Account You have 2 or fewer debits on your FirstOntario Savings Account each month You have 10 or fewer debit transactions per month You do not pay your bills at a branch
Your Best Value is likely Value Plus if...	You use both your FirstOntario Chequing Account and your FirstOntario Savings Account You have 40 or less debits monthly on your chequing account and/or More than 10 debits monthly on your savings account You pay bills at the branch
Your Best Value is likely Unlimited Value if...	You have more than 40 debits monthly in your FirstOntario Chequing Account You actively use your FirstOntario Savings Account You pay bills at the branch You value not having to worry about counting (or thinking about) how many transactions you make on your account each month
